Jasmyn Mumme
Jasmyn has been a member of BPW Australia since 1991 and has contributed as National Board Member since 2001, holding various roles over the years including Western Australia State President and Club President.  Jasmyn was first inspired by reading BPW Founder Lena Madesin Phillips’ book, “A Measure Filled’ but says that she now gets continual inspiration from many wonderful BPW women, who are dedicated to women’s equality.

Passionate about every woman having the opportunity to achieve her own ambitions and dreams, Jasmyn has supported and empowered many women through initiating new programs and by mentoring members. She was instrumental in setting up three new clubs in WA and believes there is a formula to follow that can replicated with ready resources.  She is currently the Chair of the National Communications Committee for BPW Australia and in that role has worked with a team of enthusiastic members to bring new electronic communications functionality and opportunities to clubs and members. She believes that the internet is the greatest tool for change and that BPW has an opportunity to position itself as the trusted, reliable and accessible source of information relevant for women.

Since 1998 Jasmyn has been a Registered Debt Agreement Administrator for her business, Active Debt Specialists, assisting individuals, families and small business owners to negotiate a positive pathway to repay their debts and to keep their homes and businesses intact. She facilitates workshops for accountants and financial counsellors, has presented at the National Bankruptcy Congress and participates on industry panels and as a specialist speaker at conferences.  As an expert negotiator and mediator, Jasmyn works with small business owners to implement workable repayment strategies that are accepted by creditors.  “It’s work I love and I see positive change in the lives of people suffering financial difficulties from industry pressure, divorce, illness or other problems that can come out of the blue.”
